Today took half day leave. Decided to try out this dish.

For the chicken you will need:
5-8 chicken drumsticks
1 tsp crushed red pepper
1 tsp dried oregano
2 tsp paprika
Lemon juice (I used those lemon juice bottle type)
2 cloves of crushed garlic
Pepper and salt

Steps:
Wash the drumsticks and make few cut on the drumsticks. This is to let the chicken to marinate the flavor in.

At one mixing bowl, place all the above ingredients except chicken. Make sure the paste is abit wet. Put in the chicken in the bowl. Coat the chicken with the paste. Place the bowl in the fridge to let it marinate for awhile.

Heat the oven at 220 degree. Cook the chicken for 25 to 30 mins. Do turn the chicken occasionally so that it can be cook evenly. Ready to serve.

Can serve with roasted vegetables or salad. Enjoy your simple dinner.

美容排毒茶 Beauty detox tea

Been busy with attending wedding and doing personal stuffs til no time for baking or cooking. However I did buy three type of flowers to make this tea.

Source from teacuppa.com
Apple flower: improve digestion, remove excess fat, clear acne (it does work for me on this point), lighten pigmentation. Overall this apple flower is good for skin.

Roselle: believe to reduce cholesterol, help weight loss, high in vitamin c and good for people having water retention.
My advice: please do not drink this with empty stomach. It will cause more harm to your body.

Rose: help to relieve menstrual cramps and rich in antioxidants.

Well as you all know being lady, getting nice skin and losing weight are always our goals in life. Rather than eating pills, I would suggest drinking this natural flower tea.

Warning: this drink can make you running to toilet very often. This has to depend on how much toxic you have in your body. The pain might be like someone twisting your intestines. Don't try this when you are outside or far from available toilet.

I would recommend drinking this for few days ranging from 4-7 days in the day time. Then you will stop drinking it. Rest your body for few months then drink another round of 4-7 days. But of course you need to drink a lot of plain water to hydrate your body. Resting period is needed as it prevent your body to be immune to the effects of the tea.

Do try and enjoy your tea.  Happy detoxing....

Ps: not suitable for pregnant lady.

Roasted potatoes and carrot

Been looking at photos that my friends posted on how they made their roasted potatoes. I decided to tried it out myself.

Ingredients

One packet of washed potatoes and carrots.

Rosemary

Salt and pepper

Olive oil

Method

Cut the washed potatoes into half or quater.

Peeled and cut the carrots.

Preheat oven at 200 degree.

Place all into mixing bowl.

Add in olive oil, pinch of salt and freshly ground black pepper. Finally add in rosemary. Mixed all well and the item fully coated with olive oil and spices.

Put all into a baking sheet

Place it into the oven and set 1 hour.  After the first 30 mins, do take out and give it a stir. This is to ensure all can be evenly cooked. Place them back to the oven to continue cooking.

To check if the food is done, just use a chopstick, poke and if it can be poke easily then it is done.

Ready to serve. Enjoy your dish..

Raisin scone

This morning when I browsing through my Facebook and I saw people posting scones. That's give me an idea of what to bake this weekend.
Using the recipes from the person  (who I forgotten your name) to bake this batch of scone.

Ingredients
250g self raising flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
75g chilled butter  (take out from freezer and put it outside to soften it)
2 tablespoon brown sugar (much more healthy)
100ml milk
Pinch of salt
1 egg for egg wash.

Things that I used
Mixing bowl
Silicon mat
Silicon bag

Direction
Shieve the flour and baking powder into a big mixing bowl.

Add in the butter , salt and sugar. Using your fingers to break the butter into small pieces.

Starts to mix the flour mix and butter together until you get breadcrumbs lookalike.

Add in milk and mixed them using wooden spoon.

Now you can place all into the silicon bag. (Well it is my first time using it. I find them quite useful especially I do not have big working area for baking. )

Knead the dough but not too much (I did about 10 knead)

Add dried fruit into the bag (I added raisins) and mixed well. I sprinkled some flour into the bag and place the whole thing into the fridge.

Wait for 15 mins  (I waited 20 mins as I forget to set timer). Set your oven to 220 degree.

Dust the silicon mat with flour. Roll the dough to the thickness you want. I am more lazy so I use my cookie cutter to judge the thickness.

Point to take note for beginners that use cookies cutter. Coat your cutter with flour so it will not cause the dough to stick on your cutter.

Place the shaped scones onto a baking sheet. Apply egg wash on top (this step I learn from another recipe).

Put them into the oven and bake for 10 mins.  Ready to serve hot with jam.

Enjoy your simple high tea.
